Since 1975 Amelia Guglielmi Zanoli – “the lavender lady” – cultivates lavender (lavandula hybrida or lavandin) with love and passion on the Mount Conero Park, above Portonovo, on her farm in the Marches, a region in Central Italy.
Out of her passion, it is distilled this superior essential oil, which owes to the rugged limestone lands of Mount Conero and the salty sea breeze its fresh and sturdy scent that Dioscorides is reported to have said that “surpasses all other fragrances”.
