The Farm

We grow lavender from 1975 according to organic farming methods: the company is certified organic since 1993.
In addition to lavender, grown on 1.5 hectares, the company cultivates organic wheat, emmer, lentils, sunflower and alfalfa.
Amelia, the farmer, has a degree in pharmacy and decided to start cultivating lavender and lavandin after a trip to France with her husband Silvio.
The cultivated variety is the hybrid Lavandula vera x Lavandula spica var. RC, selected in Italy by Prof. Rinaldi Ceroni from Casola Valsenio (FC). Today – after more than 40 years of cultivation – a local ecotype of the Conero has now been selected.

The harvest is usually in the second half of July with the aid of a reaping-alloy specially built machine.
The dry steam-distillation takes place at a certified-organic third-party plant that we trust.
